Karen Hanover endorses ASPCA because this organization is dedicated to stopping animal cruelty. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world.
ASPCA was founded on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans and must be protected under the law. Karen Hanover is an animal lover and believes that animals deserve a great life just as humans, filled with love, good food, fun, family and a warm place to sleep at night and belong.
Karen Hanover endorses ASPCA because:
she believes that animals should not be caged, even in a house an that they get bored like the rest of us. Animals are not here for our entertainment when we want them. Instead animals need exciting and fun experiences just as we all do. “That’s a tall order.” says Hanover but that’s why Karen Hanover endorses ASPCA.
Headquartered in New York City, the ASPCA maintains a strong local presence, and with programs that extend their anti-cruelty mission across the country. They are widely known as a national animal welfare organization. The ASPCA is a privately funded 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation with more than 2 million supporters across the country. But don’t let their number of supporters make you think they don’t need funding. The ASPCA has numerous projects including fighting animal cruelty and reducing animal homelessness.
No matter the location or scale of the deployment, the ASPCA is prepared to take on animal cruelty cases when needed—from initial investigations to the final placement of rescued animals in homes. They combat dog fighting, puppy mills, animal hoarding, horse slaughter, farm animal abuse, animal placement and adoption and more.
Remember 2.7 million animal beings are euthanized every single year and only 10% of all animals who enter the shelter are spayed or neutered.
